2011-2012 Mentoring Teams Run the Glass City Marathon!!

Toledo Mountain Mentors had two relay teams participate in "Glass City Marathon" this past weekend. One girls team One boys team, comprised of students and mentors running five separate legs of the marathon.
In addition to our marathon teams there was also a volunteer team which handed out water to runners at "water stop 2"
Students and mentors have much to be proud of.
All of our students had a great sense of accomplishment and sense of being part of something great!

A Community Outreach Program

Mountain Mentors, a not-for-profit organization, is committed to impacting the lives of at-risk youth in our community through one-on-one lasting relationships between adult volunteer mentors and teens. Conceived more than 28 years ago by Rev. Everett Mills, this powerful approach to helping juveniles offers a physical challenge similar to Outward Bound, a helping hand like that of the Big Brothers/Big Sisters and a commitment of volunteers comparable to that of the Peace Corps.
