Bio: Mr. Murray is the current secretary and past president of Mountain Mentors.

A mentor, trustee, and trail guide for the organization, Mr. Murray has been involved in helping kids in trouble in Toledo since 1984, the first year he hiked with a Mountain Mentor group. Over the past two decades he has had a positive impact on numerous at-risk youth on probation in the Lucas County Juvenile Court.

Mr. Murray, 55, is the Managing Editor at The Blade of Toledo, where he is responsible for the newspaper's daily operations. He has been the supervising editor of three Blade investigations that were named Pulitzer Prize finalists, with a series on atrocities committed by the U.S. Army in Vietnam named the winner of the 2004 Pulitzer Prize for investigative reporting. He and his wife, Judy, have two children and live in Lambertville, Mich. He is a graduate of the Ohio State University.
